Lompoc Visitors Guide
Lompoc Valley Visitors Guide 24 “CYPRESS GALLERY” T he Cypress Gallery, nestled in Centennial Park in Lompoc’s Olde Town, is the home of the Lompoc Valley Art Association. The gallery opened in 1994 as a place for members to display their original creations. Each month the gal- lery showcases the latest work from local artists in paint, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and other fine crafts. The gallery is the ideal place to find one of a kind pieces created by Lompoc artists and there is something for all artistic tastes. Not only are the walls lined with art but pedestals display 3 dimen- sional works and spinning racks hold original greeting cards. Cypress Gallery is the place to find souvenirs, seasonal holiday items, and great gifts! One of the local artists is always in attendance, and can answer any questions and guide you in your choices. Layaway is available and credit cards are accepted. Located in the heart of Lompoc’s renowned “Mural Project," the gallery itself is a work of art! The original plain block wall building was covered with a mural in 1998. “An Artist’s Cot- tage” has changed it into a whimsical Victorian cottage, with a dog artist, a fairy in the hollyhock and other charm- ing details. The Art Association has monthly meetings with guest speakers and demonstrations. Membership is open to the public. The Cypress Gallery is located at 119 East Cypress, Lompoc. Open Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays). Gallery hours are 12(noon) to 5 pm, Winter til 4 pm.
