Lompoc Visitors Guide
Lompoc Valley Visitors Guide 45 T he Lompoc Civic Theatre was formed in 1973 with the first performance of A Thousand Clowns. Since then we have produced over 130 full length plays, musicals, one acts, dinner theaters, murder mys- tery parties, and variety shows. LCT is a volunteer only, currently applying for non profit status organization, dedicated to educating, entertaining and providing a cre- ative outlet for the people of Lompoc and the surrounding cities. Over the years, LCT direc- tors, actors, playwrights and crew members have come from all walks of life, including students, teachers, radio DJs, entrepreneurs, accountants, Air Force personnel and even a serving Lompoc Mayor just to name a few. We aim to have regular seasons containing at least one mainstage show, a children’s the- ater show and one dinner theater production every year, in addition to our free readers theater, and summer showcase productions. Once we have built our schedule back to regular full seasons, our intention is to introduce season tickets as a way to provide discounts to regular audience members.LCT is attempting to rebuild our organization by bringing in new people to participate, strengthen our audience attendance and rejuvenate interest in live theater in Lompoc.
