City of Lompoc receives award from Government Finance Officers Association B ookshop.org ’s new registry feature makes supporting your local bookstore even easier! If you’re planning to give or receive some bookish gifts this holiday season or any time of year, you’re in luck! Bookshop.org’s wishlist feature now has a “registry” option. This means that if you mark a wishlist as a reg- istry, you can set a shipping address for it that other people won’t see, AND when people buy an item off that wishlist it will be automatically removed from the list – so no worrying about duplicate gifts. Just share the list with people and they can use it to shop for you, without them needing to use or know your ship- ping address. You can even link your wishlist to a particular bookstore you want to support, like Chapter 2! Here are the full instructions for creating a registry wishlist: 1. Login to bookshop.org and go to your wishlists (bookshop.org/wishlists) 2. In the top right corner, click “Create New” 3. Title your new wishlist 4. If you’d like to make this list immediately public (which you need to if you want to share it with someone!), unclick the checkbox that says, “This wishlist is private.” This will allow anyone with the link to see the list. 5. Click the box next to “This wishlist is a registry” so that a private shipping address can be attached to the wishlist and books purchased from the list will be shipped there. 6. Enter the shipping address where all the books on the registry will be shipped. (The shipping address is never vis- ible to anyone but you.) 7. Then, if you’d like this wishlist to benefit a certain af - filiate on bookshop.org , click the box next to “Link to Af - filiate” and select the affiliate in the dropdown search bar. 8. When these steps are complete, click “Create Wishlist.” 9. You’ve created a new registry! You can edit the registry from here, by clicking “edit this wishlist’s settings.” To view these instructions, you can also go to https://support .bookshop.org/en/support/solutions/ articles/65000182222-wishlist-registry-mode-fact-sheet It’s a convenient way to give and receive exactly the right books for all the people on your list - happy reading!
