(805)733-3713 LOCAL ARTS AND CULTURE PLEASE CONTACT THE VISION TO UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION T his run is sponsored by the Lompoc Valley Distance Club and benefits the Nancy Perry Memorial Schol - arship given to graduating student athletes at both Lompoc and Cabrillo High Schools. The event will start and stop at Beattie Park and both events will start at 9AM. The 4 mile run/walk will begin at Beattie Park Parking Lot and proceed west on Olive to South I street, turning left for another mile up Miguelito Canyon Road to a turnaround sign and return by the same route. The 8 miler is a run only event and it proceeds four miles to Miguelito Park parking lot, via Olive, to South I street, and then south to Miguelito Canyon Rd to the park. The runners will follow the same route back to the start line. Fees: 4 Miler -$15 for adults or $7 for ages 17 and under. The 8 Miler - $20 for adults or $15 for ages 17 and under. Lompoc Valley Distance Club members receive a $3 dis- count. There are awards in various age groups to both male and female for 1st and 2nd place winners. The awards for walk- ers will be 1st through 3rd overall. With Halloween soon after this event, costumes are not required, but they are highly recommended as prizes will be awarded for spec- tacular costumes! Registration is on the day of the event starting at 8am. The race will start at 9am. The entry form can be down- loaded at the LVDC website: http://members.impulse . net/~lvdc/, filled out and brought to registration.
